The main topic of discussion at the recent Parish Council meeting was business introduced by a member of the public. Lancashire County Council is proposing to introduce 20mph speed limits in some local residential areas and possibly near schools. The programme is to be rolled out in stages and completed by 2013. LCC have published a provisional map of Lancaster areas to be targeted first and Cockerham does not appear on it, however, it was decided that more information was required, so this will be sought and the proposals will be discussed in more depth at the next Parish Council meeting.
