11/090 APOLOGIES were received from D Holmes, A Slater and H Helme
11/091 MINUTES of the previous meetings held Wednesday 13th July 2011 and 10th August 2011 were signed as a true and correct record.
11/092 DECLARATION OF INTERESTS
Cllr Rossall declared a personal and prejudicial interest in agenda items 5 (Lengthsman) – 11/093 and 7 (planning at Braides Farm) – 11/095.
Cllr Jacques joined the meeting.
It was RESOLVED that the meeting be adjourned to listen to representations from the public: -
OPEN SESSION
J Rossall informed the meeting that a road sign close to Cockerham Garage is in need of repair.
There is a substantial pot hole on Gulf Lane which needs repairing.
Mr Winchester requested that the Parish Council look at a proposed planning application to offer any advice prior to submission.

11/93 VILLAGE LENGTHSMAN
Cllr Rossall declared a personal and prejudicial interest and withdrew from the meeting – 11/092.
It was RESOLVED that there were no further jobs to add to the Lengthsmans' list this month. It was also RESOLVED that Cockerham Parish Council would not be requesting a monthly timesheet from Mr Rossall.
Cllr Rossall re joined the meeting.
11/94 RECYCLING FACILITIES
After lengthy discussion it was RESOLVED that as no firm decision had been made on the future of the recycling centre at Garstang this item would be discussed again at the Parish Council in November when more information should be available.
11/095 PLANNING MATTERS

Cllr Rossall declared a personal and prejudicial interest and withdrew from the meeting– 11/092.William Hunter, Braides Farm, Sandside, Cockerham. (11/00747/FUL)
Erection of an agricultural/livestock equipment and machinery store.
After discussion it was RESOLVED not to object to these plans, but to request that consideration be given to moving the building closer to existing agricultural buildings as a preferable option.
